Terms of service
This is a plain-language summary For enterprise customers, the binding contract is your signed Master Services Agreement. For self-serve customers, it's the click-through Terms accepted at account creation. Email legal@sozuri.net for the full text.

1. The service

Sozuri provides messaging (SMS, WhatsApp, premium), USSD, M-Pesa payment orchestration, AI agents and related telemetry to businesses building Kenyan products. Specific services available to your account depend on your plan and your KYC status.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Sozuri for spam, illegal messaging, fraud, harassment, or anything that violates Kenya's Communications Act or carrier policies. We reserve the right to suspend accounts on reasonable grounds — with notice where possible.

3. Pricing & billing

Self-serve is pay-as-you-go in KES. Project credits are debited at message acceptance. Sender ID provisioning and shortcode setup are one-time fees. Enterprise pricing is negotiated and committed in your MSA.

4. Data & privacy

We process your data on the principles of Kenya's Data Protection Act. You own your customer data; we process it on your behalf. Export and deletion are available on request — see the Privacy Policy for detail.

5. Service availability

Self-serve customers get best-effort availability. Enterprise customers can negotiate contractual SLAs with credits for breaches. Carrier-side downtime (e.g. Safaricom or M-Pesa outages) is outside our control but always disclosed on the status page.

6. Termination

You can cancel at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach the Acceptable Use policy, with reasonable notice except in cases of immediate harm to other customers, the carrier network or third parties.

7. Governing law

The agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Disputes that can't be resolved by negotiation are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
